Using PHP to convert JSON string to JS Object

Friends, I'm very new to this stuff, so please ignore any mistakes I might make, but I would really appreciate some help here. I'm sending out a very simple form post to:

which works great.

I would like to convert the returned JSON, which is:

{"Response":"Success","Message":"Originate successfully queued"}

to a javascript object for further manipulation. I understand this can be done with JSON parse()

What I can't seem to find is parsing from the JSON that appears in the html document on my screen???

Does this make sense???

You could select the innerText of the element that contains the JSON string and then parse it, for example, if you this is what the HTML document is:
HTML:
<html>
  <head></head>
  <body>
    <p>{"Response":"Success","Message":"Originate successfully queued"}</p>
  </body>
</html>
JavaScript:
const res = JSON.parse(document.querySelector("p").innerText);`
